Dr. Ahmad received her medical degree from the University of Chicago. She completed a residency in Radiology and a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at New York University where she trained in renal mass imaging with Morton Bosniak and prostate imaging with Andrew Rosencrantz. Her clinical focus is magnetic resonance imaging of the genitourinary tract, including utilizing MRI to subtype renal cell carcinomas, localize and grade prostate cancer, assess for pelvis floor laxity and evaluate gynecologic as well as urethral pathology.
Dr. Ahmad grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Charlottesville in 2011 and is excited to be a part of the Virginia Urology team. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and exploring new restaurants.
Dr. Ahmad has been appointed the Medical Director of MRI.
