Bio
Kara Parker is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Virginia, Mrs. Parker pursued a master’s degree in nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Women’s Health Care. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at VCU. Mrs. Parker began her career as a nurse practitioner with an obstetrics and gynecology practice in Alexandria, Virginia. She subsequently practiced at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., focusing on diagnostic testing for pelvic floor disorders, and also seeing patients in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic.
Mrs. Parker joined our urogynecology team in 2016 and is very passionate about partnering with her patients to help them deal with very personal urogynecological issues. Her many clinical interests include pelvic floor and bladder disorders such as overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and incontinence.
