Vasectomy Reversal

Men's Health

Vasectomy Reversal
Vasectomy reversal is an outpatient surgery.
Success rates for vasectomy reversal are as high as 98%.

Vasectomy reversal is an outpatient surgery that reestablishes a connection between the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles into the semen in order to achieve a pregnancy. A small number of men have a vasectomy reversal to treat testicular pain that may be linked to prior vasectomy.

Vasectomy reversal is the most cost-effective option in most circumstances to restore fertility in men who have had prior vasectomy. Other methods, such as in-vitro fertilization are significantly more expensive.

Our Vasectomy Reversal Specialists

At your Virginia Urology appointment, you will meet with Dr. Joseph EllenDr. Barbara Kahn or Dr. Jason Szobota for consultation and examination. These are our urologists that specialize in reversal techniques which require additional training in microsurgery. During the procedure, the vasal fluid is examined to determine the type of connection performed. Our physicians have experience in performing both vasovasostomy and vasoepididymostomy.
