Virginia Urology now offers telemedicine as an option for your appointment.

In an effort to ensure continuity of care for those patients whose care can be safely delivered by telemedicine, some physicians  have implemented this capability. We are excited to be able to offer this technology so that there may be as little disruption to your urological care.

Important Privacy Information

We use Doximity for your telemedicine visit. This platform is a HIPAA-compliant platform as your privacy and medical information security are a top priority for us.

How to Prepare for Your Telemedicine Visit

You will receive a text message or email from us that will have a link to register and sign the consent form for your visit.

Phone call only (no video):
You will receive a text message or email from us regarding your appointment. In that message, you will see an orange box that says:  Please complete the registration and sign the consent. You will receive a link shortly before your appointment to connect to the visit.

Video telemedicine appointments:
Please complete the registration and sign the consent.  We are using Doximity, a secure video connection to your provider. You will receive a text link shortly before your appointment to connect to the visit.
Your health and privacy are our top priority, we look forward to your visit.

**To avoid a $75 fee, please give at least 24 hours advance notice of change or cancellation.

Once you are seen in our office, you will be sent an email to sign up for the new Athenahealth portal. Please follow directions in the email to activate your new account. Once you have registered for the new portal you may sign into the new portal.

Information in the previous portal will not transfer to the new Athenahealth portal. We recommend that you download any information from the current portal before the end of year if you want to retain copies for your records.
